This is one of the weakest Sookie books I've read. I have been a fan of the mysteries since the first book. There is not much of a mystery here. It's basically several small stories wrapped in one: The werewolf war, her boyfriend Quinn, trouble from a spy, etc. I would have liked to have seen Harris focus on only one thing. I did like a few of the surprises but basically I found the whole book lacking. Not to mention Sookie being mostly in a bad mood throughout the whole thing. I do hope to see more of a romance between her and Eric. It would be disappointing if she took back Bill. I am hoping the next book will focus on one subject and not disappoint me the way this book did.
